Bills

Bills are necessary to have a nice life, you need things to survive and the results of some of those things are bills. Sometimes, I think the world is starting to make too many unnecessary things necessary. The world evolves everyday so more and more things seem to make sense to have, like cell phones, internet, and other things like that that have over time become important. It feels like I create more and more bills since I have started paying them. I guess as you get older the more things you need. Being a student, this really takes a toll on me because I don't work alot of hours so I can have time for school and make the grades I want. I guess it is my fault for wanting to be independent.

  1. Hi Krystle,

There are most certainly good and bad aspects to being independent. Bills are definitely a major issue to consider before leaving the nest. Being a broke college student gets glamorized in movies and on television, but in real life, it's not very much fun.

Here's hoping things loosen up for you in the future.

  2. Hi Krystle,
Independence is not a fault.Trust me its better to learn to be self-sufficient than to depend on someone else. I learned the hard way. Bills are just another part of the growing up process and it will get easier.Just hang in there!

  3. Hey Krystl,
Hang in there, being able to stand on your own builds character and wisdom, both of which will help you in the future. Good luck!

  4. Independence is a part of life. You know as teenagers, we can't wait to get out on our own. All we can see is being free to do whatever we want to do. Expenses are the furthest thing from our minds.

Keep your head up and hang in there. It's better to learn to be independent now so that you won't have to depend on someone in the future.

  5. One word--"Budget."

I get into trouble when I don't stick to one. And then, sometimes, you just have to decide to do without those things that really aren't necessary. Distinguishing between a "want" and a "need" is tough--I "want" those shoes, but I "need" food. Not hard when you start applying that to everything.

    Good luck!
